I know in some instances I can use Font Book to delete or disable fonts, but that doesn’t seem to affect the font choices in Word. In programs like Illustrator and Photoshop, they show up in Chinese. I find that in Word or Excel, the fonts show up in English. If the font I’m looking for is not recently used, I may have to scroll through the many fonts until I get to the one I want. Accept any strange errors that occur unless it’s catastrophic. But all systems have different font metrics and the same. Ive used Times New Roman with few issues as well. Nicolas Hunter just recommended it for that reason at our most recent DIGFM meeting at FileMakers headquarters in Santa Clara. When I pull up the font menu in the tool bar or through Command-D, I’m presented with roughly 2.37 gazillion fonts that I will most likely never use. Its generally the most universally useful between Mac, iOS and Windows. Often, I have a reason to use a font that I haven’t used recently. I have a default font set up, but on occasion I find it necessary to switch to a different font for a portion of the text. For work purposes, I do a lot of writing in Microsoft Word. I’m wondering if anyone else has come across one. I’ve looked around, but I can’t seem to find an answer.
